I was commissioned to memorialize a landmark year for this remarkable partnership. Kim and her half-Arabian mare, Dallas, captured major titles at the U.S. National Championships—an extraordinary achievement made even more meaningful by the fact that Dallas is still a junior horse. Young and still discovering her place in the world, Dallas already understands one essential truth: Kim is her home, her safe place.



That sense of belonging is deeply reciprocal. In this moment, Kim lies vulnerable on the ground, her outstretched arm inviting her mare to step closer and share the stillness with her.
