Nothing but You



Traveling the world, I make a series of portraits in which people gaze at their reflections in a large, convex, wide-angle lens. The moment when, after a moment of surprise at the camera's proximity, they see their own reflection and focus on themselves with increasing intensity, is magical. Everything except themselves ceases to exist in that moment. Time stops, and the portrayed become the tender protagonists of a grand spectacle: a journey into self-discovery.



Photography transforms this spectacle into an interactive experience. The camera, placed on the other side of the lens, allows us to witness such intimate moments. But as we watch them, the portrayed simultaneously reflect back at us. Time stops, nothing else matters. Nothing but you. In some cases, probably for the first time.
