This two-part series presents a minimalist study of the Northern Gannet colony on Île Rouzic. By isolating the birds’ rhythmic flight patterns against a delicate, ephemeral sky, the work explores the 'metabolic intimacy' of maritime ecosystems. These compositions function as a biological script, where the avian forms become calligraphic traces of an increasingly precarious existence amidst planetary shifts. Moving beyond traditional wildlife documentation, this fine art approach visualises the fragile boundary between resilience and disappearance in the Anthropocene, recording the 'traces of transition' in the air.
