Lieberose: The General’s Hill

This architectural portrait captures the observation deck at the former Lieberose military training ground in Brandenburg. A delicate timber crown now sits upon the raw concrete of a hidden bunker, where generals once commanded manoeuvres. Through a finely graded sky and wild grass blurring the bunker’s edges, the work explores a state of limbo: the transition from a site of military authority to a space for civil reflection.
