"Inside the room I found a body, it was trembling. I caressed it tenderly and when the tide began to rise I dared to see its face through the mirror.
My face."
This represents a reconciliation with myself and a version of me who tends to get stuck in the past, she keeps on being nostalgic.
The mirror keeps on reflecting the same space, 'the room' that used to be my safe-place, but as time goes by, my body changes and so do its positions. Some body parts keep hiding, but my body asks to be transformed and revealed, to be comfortable of being seen just as it is.
As the tide begins to rise, my body gets older and the sofa can not hold me anymore. I have to move. The room is not my home anymore and I have to let it go, even though I do not want to and it scares me.
In the end, it does not matter how much time it may take me to jump in the water, swim with the tide... my body will hold my soul until it's ready to go.
