We Three Kings

This image was taken on our first landing in South Georgia at Right Whale Bay. It was my first time in South Georgia & whilst I had watched documentaries in preparation it was still an overwhelming sight to behold.



As I moved across the beach I noticed two things- a small group of penguins moving along the horizon & a stormy sky behind them & knew the potential in the scene in front of me. I lay down on the beach to get as low as possible to avoid the horizon crossing through hem & then waited until they were in the right position. Off the handful of images this was my favourite in terms of the positioning of the three kings against a broody southern Atlantic sky.
