They are the favorite plants of many, perhaps because they are so frugal or because the owners identify with them.



The cacti are true artists of life and have adapted to the harsh living conditions in the course of evolution.



I found a really nice example here. In order to really focus solely on the cactus, without distracting backgrounds, I decided to use monochrome photography using the low key technique. The long spines in particular come into their own here.
