At 3,000 meters in the Swiss canton of Valais, I encountered a majestic Alpine ibex poised between rugged mountain peaks. Bathed in the golden hour’s last rays of sunlight, he seemed to pause and pose, throning above the valley with quiet dignity. This fleeting moment transformed the ibex into a true King of the Alps – a timeless portrait of strength, serenity, and the wild beauty of the high mountains.
