Born in 1987 in Bryansk, Russia, Julia Lebedeva received her first camera—a Soviet 35mm film camera, "Smena"—as a birthday gift at the age of 13. In 2001, her family relocated to Schwerin, Germany, where she graduated from high school and began experimenting with black-and-white film, developing her own photos in the darkroom.
In 2007, she moved to Munich to study medicine and communication. Since 2016, she has worked as a marketing manager for various companies. Her passion for photography took a professional turn in 2019 when she completed a nine-month creative art photography class at Dmitry Bulkin’s photography school.
Specializing in portrait photography, Julia Lebedeva is dedicated to capturing the essence and individuality of her subjects. Her work focuses on exploring emotions, personal stories, and the unique character of each person she photographs. She currently lives in Munich with her husband.
