My name is Huang Can, and I am a commercial photographer from China.
More than ten years in the commercial world have made me long to return to the simplest starting point—
to witness the most genuine side of people and society, and to reach again for the light that first ignited my love for photography.
So over the past two years, I’ve turned my lens toward the streets and the open road,
photographing documentary-style human stories and creating cinematic travel short films.
It is a journey outward into the world, and also a return inward to myself—
in the silence between each shutter click, I come to know myself anew,
and slowly draw closer to the person who first fell in love with this world.
